2018 PAID INTERNSHIPS

Internships are a perfect opportunity for students & young artists to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit theatre leadership! While pay is offered, please realize that funding is very limited and stipends are small. Pay details will be discussed during the interview and application process.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 30th

INTERN PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

• will serve as stage and/or house manager for multiple mainstage shows as well as secondary shows and special events
• assists with day to day operations, maintenance, and preparation
• assists staff and directors with all aspects of production

REQUIREMENTS:

• excellent organization, leadership, interpersonal, & communication skills
• a basic understanding of technical demands of production
• the ability to create a positive, organized, and effective working environment
• flexibility and problem solving skills to adapt to challenges as they arise
• a self-starter with a desire to innovate and seek out opportunities for improvement for themselves and the organization
• ideal candidate will have some stage management or technical theatre experience

MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT INTERN

• crafts written and visual social media content
• writes web and email marketing content
• assists with all marketing and fundraising opportunities
• develops and maintains relationships with new and existing sponsors
• will be challenged to create and innovate marketing/fundraising techniques

REQUIREMENTS:

• a self-starter with a desire to innovate and seek out opportunities for improvement for themselves and the organization
• ideal candidate will have strong social media presence and some experience with fundraising and/or marketing

The Market strives to be a community arts hub where artists can engage with the community and find a platform to express, explore, and create. We are always interested in hearing from community artists who would like to collaborate or students who would like to learn through experience!

We are seeking creatives and crew for our 2018 season, including (but not limited to):

  • stage managers
  • costume designers
  • scenic designers
  • carpenters
  • painters
  • propmasters
  • sound & lighting operators
  • running crew
  • ushers
